24,400 requests were made to access porn websites in the UK Parliament

Around 24,400 attempts were made to access pornography websites from the computers which are being used within Britain’s Parliament House in late 2017, Britain’s Press Association reported on Monday.

According to data obtained by a PA Freedom of Information (FOI) request, a total 24,473 requests were made from the devices which were connected to the network in Parliament since last general elections in June.

MPs, Lords in the upper house and their staff have the access to the Parliamentarian internet network. The authorities claimed that the most attempts were not made intentionally. The Parliament had already blocked 113,208 attempts in 2016, and 213,020 attempts in 2015.

All websites which contain porn content are blocked by the Parliamentarian’s computer network, a Parliamentary spokesperson told PA.
