An unofficial list promises to update 90 Samsung devices
Updates relating to Android smartphones are a very hotly debated topic, after all, many manufacturers do not necessarily cover themselves with fame when it comes to supplying new versions. Samsung is also criticized here, but has recently praised improvement and promised three years of software maintenance for new devices. Now a list has surfaced online that aims to show what the company is planning in terms of Android updates in the near future.
As TheGalox on YouTube reports, Samsung is to supply a total of 90 devices from 2020 and 2019 with One UI 3.0 that is based on Android 11. The report also provides a list of the corresponding devices, which shows that there are also several model variants below the listed smartphones. Accordingly, there are 63 devices and flagships from 2020, the rest is made up of mid-range smartphones from 2019 and 5G variants. An official confirmation from Samsung is currently pending.
Since December
The first beta builds for One UI 3.0 is currently being tested, Samsung Korea has confirmed that stable builds can be expected in December. Then, as always, it is to be expected that the company will initially supply current models such as the Galaxy S20 and the Galaxy Note 20 with the update – usually first in Samsung’s home market of South Korea. A release in Europe can still be expected before the end of the year.
