Windows 11 22H2 update: Official presentation expected on April 5

Although the expected “Sun Valley 2” update for Windows 11 is already being tested by insiders, Microsoft has not yet made an official announcement. The Redmond-based company could use their Hybrid Work event tomorrow to officially showcase the new version 22H2. On April 5, 2022, from 5 p.m. German time, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and Windows boss Panos Panay will talk again about the future of hybrid working and how Windows 11 can especially support businesses.

While the event is apparently aimed at business customers, new information about the next major Windows 11 update is expected. The Redmond-based company has so far not been tempted to officially present the 22H2 version, otherwise known as Sun Valley 2.

Sun Valley 2 feature and schedule as a side note?

While the keynote should be used as a formal announcement of Windows 11 22H2, many of the features of the upcoming update are already known. These have been tested for weeks by insiders in the dev and beta channels, so there shouldn’t be any big surprises at tomorrow’s event. Interested parties hope for detailed information about the update schedule, but Microsoft can still hold back on this. Sun Valley 2 is expected to be completed in late summer or fall, and the Redmond company often puts it “later this year” between the lines.

According to insider updates, the new features of Windows 11 22H2 include improvements to the taskbar, a new task manager, Explorer tabs, and changes to the notification area. Microsoft should also be targeting well-known design-build sites, as there are still several optical remnants of the older operating systems Windows 10, Windows 8, and even Windows 7 within Windows 11. However, it remains to be seen whether the Redmond company really does all of that with the update. can solve legacy problems.
