Tecno unveils the Camon 20 series
The Camon 20 series by Tecno consist of four members. Reportedly, the company has announced the new Camon 20 series. In this short piece, we will be focusing on some details of the Camon 20, Camon 20 Pro, and Camon 20 Pro 5G.
When it comes to design all three phones have the same design. They come with an unconventional back camera island. All three smartphones feature a 120Hz 6.67-inch AMOLED display. All three devices come with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.
Chipsets of the Camon 20, Camon 20 Pro, and Camon 20 Pro 5G
The vanilla Camon 20 is powered by a 12nm Helio G85. Whereas a 6nm Helio G99 SoC powers the Camon 20 Pro. On the other hand, the Camon 20 Pro 5G is fueled by a 6nm Dimensity 8050 chipset. It is one of the first devices that has been launched with a MediaTek chipset. The Dimensity 8050 is a rebadged Dimensity 1300 from last year.
Camera setup
On the back, all three devices come with a 64MP main camera. it is accompanied by a 2MP macro shooter. The Pro 5G model is provided with an OIS on its primary lens. Alongside this, a 2MP depth sensor is also provided. Whereas QVGA modules are provided behind the third lens for the two other members. On the front, a 32MP selfie camera is provided for all three models.
Optical fingerprint scanners are inserted under the screen of the Camon 20 Pro and Pro 5G. Whereas the Camon 20 comes with a side-mounted scanner. All three smartphones come with Android 13 and Tecno’s HIOS 13 on top. All devices have been certified for IP53 rating indicating that the devices have restricted water and dust resistance. The phones are powered by 5,000mAh batteries with 33W charging support.
The Camon 20 is offered in three different colors i.e., Predawn Black, Serenity Blue, and Glacier Glow. Whereas the Camon 20 Pro and 20 Pro 5G are offered in Serenity Blue and Dark Welkin colors. There are no details regarding the pricing and availability of the Tecno Camon 20 series.
