Google to Launch New Retail Store in Austin, Texas

Google is growing its retail presence with a new store planned for Austin, Texas. This expansion highlights the company’s commitment to providing in-person services and experiences. Although the opening date is still under wraps, the store will serve as a space for workshops, classes, and the launch of new devices.
What You’ll Find at the Austin Store
The new store is set to open at Domain Northside, 11701 Domain Blvd, a prime spot surrounded by offices for Amazon, IBM, Cisco, and an Apple Store. Similar to Google’s other locations, this store is expected to offer a variety of convenient services, including:
Pixel phone and Chromebook screen repairs
Help with troubleshooting issues
Pick up your online orders in-store
Attend Google events and workshops- Troubleshooting assistance
- Online order pickups
- Google-hosted events and workshops
These services are similar to those offered at Google’s Oakbrook store in Illinois, which opened late last year.
Google’s Expanding Role in Retail
Google currently runs five retail stores in the U.S., located in Chelsea and Williamsburg (New York), Boston (Massachusetts), Mountain View (California), and Oakbrook (Illinois). A sixth store is coming soon to Santa Monica, California. This gradual expansion highlights Google’s dedication to offering hands-on support and showcasing its devices in a physical retail environment.
Google’s seventh store is opening in Austin, as reported by 9to5Google. While no images or designs of the store have been shared yet, its location in the busy Domain Northside shopping area is bound to draw plenty of visitors.
When Does It Open?
Google has yet to announce an official opening date for the Austin store. The Santa Monica location, announced earlier, may open first. However, once the Austin store is up and running, it’s expected to be a lively hub where customers can discover Google products, join workshops, and access on-site services. Keep an eye out for updates as Google expands its retail presence!
