Valve The popular Half-Life 2 RTX demo is now available free of charge for all owners of the original on Steam. This new edition of the 2004 classic user uses modern raytracing technology to improve the gaming experience. Players can experience two of the most striking sections of the game in revised graphics.

In the demo, players can explore the dark city of Ravenholm and the Nova prospect prison. Half-Life 2 RTX offers completely revised, high-resolution assets and materials. A particularly demanding pathtracing mode challenges current hardware. The minimal system requirements are:

A publication date for the complete remake has not yet been announced by the Orbifold Studios, who are leading the project with the support of Nvidia.
