Huawei Patent Design Resembles Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Camera Module

Huawei may launch a mobile phone with a center rear camera design in the near future, similar to the camera layout on Xiaomi Redmi Note 9. According to a patent filed at the Russian Federal Industrial Property Office discovered by 91mobiles, Huawei seems to be preparing a new rear camera layout. The patent picture shows the central axis rectangular camera module on the back, which can accommodate four camera sensors, two smaller sensors, and an LED flash. Interestingly, such a camera design has not yet been adopted, which means it may appear on the upcoming flagship or high-end mid-range products.

The rear camera design looks similar to the design on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, minus the fingerprint sensor. In addition, this phone has a punch hole for the selfie camera in the upper right corner of the front, similar to the design previously seen on Huawei Nova series phones.

The patented Huawei mobile phone shows the slim bezel around the screen, as well as the volume button and power button on the side of the right side of the device. The fingerprint sensor seems to be embedded in it.

The patent picture shows that the rear panel is slightly bent to the edge, possibly for a more Good grip. The phone’s USB Type-C interface, speaker grille, main microphone, and SIM card tray exist at the bottom, while the top edge seems to house an auxiliary microphone for noise reduction, or an infrared transmitter. This phone does not have a 3.5mm audio jack, and the rear camera module does not seem to protrude much. Unfortunately, there is not much other information about this Huawei mobile phone. Whether Huawei will actually launch a mobile phone with this rear camera design remains to be seen.
