A future iOS 17 update from Apple may address the iPhone 15 Pro’s overheating problem

According to some recent pieces of information, the Cupertino-based tech company is working to resolve the overheating issue with the iPhone 15 Pro and the iPhone Pro Max. Notably, the company is working on the iOS 17.0.3 update. According to the information conveyed by MacRumors, the company is internally testing the new update. The company just recently rolled out the iOS 17.0.2 update, i.e., last week.

It is expected that iOS 17.0.3 might arrive as the next update to the new iPhones. Notably, the previous update was targeted at resolving the issues with data transfer presented in all models of the series. A few days ago, the company acknowledged the overheating issue with the iPhone 15 Pro. The company responded to the situation by asserting that it was due to the bugs in iOS 17. However, the company has not shared any details of the bug.

Furthermore, the company asserts that apps like Instagram, Asphalt 9: Legends, and Uber are overloading the A17 Pro chip. The company is discussing the issue with developers. It will be fixed as soon as the apps are updated. According to the company, this problem can’t be attributed to the titanium frame. According to the company, internal testing revealed that the titanium frame is better at dissipating heat compared to a Stainless Steel model.

Currently, there are no details about the changelog of the iOS 17.0.3 update. However, it is expected to resolve the overheating issue on the Pro models. The company declared that the update wouldn’t compromise the performance of the A17 Pro chip. Furthermore, users might observe more heat dissipating from the phones in the first few days after the update, which will be because of the increased background activity, according to Apple.
