A latest Study claims Instagram to be the app Americans want off their phones

Instagram is known as one of the most renowned platforms in the world. However, a recent study has shown that Americans are ready to delete the app from their devices. which might indicate the decline in popularity of the platform in the country. As per information from a study conducted by VPNpro, Instagram is taking over other apps in the search area, regardless of the fact that this search is all about deleting the platform as well as deactivating it.

Although the study is limited to users from the US, Although this search includes a limited number of apps, The top apps included in this search area are Facebook, Snapchat, TikTok, Twitter (now called X), Reddit, YouTube, LinkedIn, Pinterest, and WhatsApp. On this list, Meta owns three apps. Three apps on this list are owned by Meta, but that doesn’t have anything to do with the research.

According to the latest study, Americans want to delete the Instagram app the most

According to the study’s findings, Instagram is the app that US consumers want off their phones more than any of the other top social media apps. According to the report, people seek out how to uninstall it 1.1 million more times than the second-closest app, Facebook.

Furthermore, it argues that users on the West Coast delete more than users anywhere else in the country. However, only 21 of the 50 states identified Instagram as the app that users most desired to delete. California, Texas, Florida, Georgia, and New York placed first among all 50 states.

It’s interesting to note that X and TikTok, respectively, were ranked 4th and 5th. Which may come as a surprise given how frequently the media has featured both recently in connection with negativity. According to the report, there were only 7,501 searches connected to removing the Pinterest app from mobile devices, placing it at number 10. With a total of 8,226 searches, WhatsApp, another Meta-owned service, came in ninth place. Facebook was ranked second with 1,005,860 searches.
