A minimum of one of the main cameras of the Huawei P70 will have a customized 1-inch sensor

Huawei has faced several troubles and challenges due to US sanctions. However, it seems like the company is all set to revive in the business community. Just recently, the Huawei Mate 60 series launched in China with a Kirin 9000s chipset and 5G connectivity. Some recent pieces of information suggest that the famous smartphone manufacturer Huawei is not going to stop, even next year. The company is progressively adopting advanced technologies and solutions for its products.

If nothing else, there are currently indications that the P-series camera flagships, which caused quite a stir in the country in 2019 with the release of the P30 Pro, are making a true comeback. Previously, we have come across several rumors regarding the Huawei P70, P70 Pro, or the retitled P70 Art top model. Besides this, users might also experience more with HarmonyOS 4 and the new XMAGE camera software in 2024.

A 50 MP Omnivision OV50H camera sensor version has also been the subject of recent claims. This sensor is presently found in the Chinese iQOO 12 Pro and appears to produce fairly decent photographs given its 1/1.3-inch size. Interestingly, the top model, the P70 Art, is expected to feature a 1-inch camera sensor. If this is true, then this model will be the company’s first smartphone with a 1-inch sensor.

In addition to this, some other reports claim that the company is hoarding 2 million Sony IMX989 sensors. Reportedly, the company will utilize the modified versions of these sensors. Perhaps the company is cropping some part of the sensor and not using the entire huge sensor. Some reports suggest that the sensor will be named IMX989Y. Notably, it will feature a variable aperture and 1G6P optics. The P70 Pro and P70 Art will feature the OV64B telephoto lens.
