Its called Acer Swift X, the Taiwanese manufacturer is introducing a new notebook that is primarily aimed at creative professionals and streamers. The lightweight 14-inch device uses AMD Ryzen 5000 processors and the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti, the prices start at 899 euros or $1100.
Despite a low height of 17.9 millimeters and a weight of 1.39 kilograms in the full metal case, Acer tries to equip the new Swift X with powerful hardware that could appeal to both creative and casual gamers. While an official data sheet is still a long way off, the company is announcing its new 14-inch notebook with AMD Ryzen 5000 mobile processors, which in previous leaks were named Ryzen 5 5500U (4.0 GHz) and Ryzen 7 5700U (4.3 GHz) with six cores each.
With regard to the graphics solution of the Acer Swift X, there is talk of the recently introduced Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 Ti, which, depending on the model, could be equipped with up to 4 GB of GDDR6 video memory and is based on the chip manufacturer’s new amp architecture. According to initial information, the performance should be on the level of the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti. However, further benchmarks remain to be seen. Acer wants to equip the Swift X with up to 16 GB DDR4 RAM and in top configurations with two 1 TB SSDs. There is also talk of 59 Wh batteries with a battery life of up to 17 hours.

The manufacturer certifies that the 14-inch display of the Acer Swift X has a brightness of 300 nits and sRGB color space coverage of 100 percent. A full HD resolution of classic 1920 x 1080 pixels, an IPS panel, and a screen-to-body ratio of 85.7 percent is used. Two normal-sized USB-A ports and a USB-C port along with HDMI, audio jack, and a proprietary power supply interface can also be seen from the present image material. The modern Wi-Fi 6 should be available for wireless connections and a fingerprint sensor should be available for security and Windows Hello features.
The Acer Swift X will be available in various configurations from summer 2021 at a recommended retail price of 899 euros. Powerful configurations with Ryzen 7 processors and the RTX 3050 Ti should therefore easily exceed the 1000 euro mark.
