After all, OneDrive’s photo storage cap won’t exist

We have several options when it comes to cloud storage. One of the most popular is Microsoft OneDrive. Similar to other cloud storage options, Microsoft OneDrive has its own set of storage limitations. As part of a recent development, Microsoft has ended the photo storage limit on its cloud storage.

Subscription tiers of OneDrive

Microsoft currently offers different payment plans for its cloud storage services. 5GB of free storage is available when a user signs up for OneDrive. However, 100GB of storage can be accessed by paying $1.99/month ($19.99/year). In contrast, 1TB of storage is priced at $6.99 per month, and the 6TB storage option can be accessed by paying $9.99 per month. Each subscription plan has its own set of benefits. Some of the perks include access to Microsoft software like Office and more.

New changes

In August, the company declared that there would be a storage limit for photos. Any image users uploaded would count towards the 5GB cap if the modification was approved. Therefore, you won’t be able to upload any more pictures if your 5G of storage is full. Users were outraged because they would no longer be able to upload pictures.

During the announcement, the company claimed that users would be granted free access to additional storage for one whole year to cover up the upcoming modifications. It was not at all helpful, though. As of now, the company has reversed its decision. It appears to be part of something big since the company stated in February that email attachments will also contribute to the 5GB limit. As a result of this, users didn’t receive emails since their storage ran out. It obviously outraged users who found it a forceful move to adopt the subscription service.
