Alibaba Delegation Met Businessmen of Faisalabad

E-commerce is and would definitely be the future of conducting businesses and would be providing opportunities to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to directly deliver their products to the consumers in any part of the world, said Shabbir Hussain Chawla—President FCCI (Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry) on Tuesday.

While conversing with Alibaba.com delegation today in a meeting held at FCCI, he said that Alibaba is indeed an e-commerce giant and a pioneer when it comes to supplying online products.

Chawla also added that Pakistan should also enter the e-commerce sector by joining hands with Alibaba for getting maximum shares from its portal along with the launch of its own firms.

He recommended that Alibaba should found its warehouses in different countries to assure quicker delivery to customers along with effective logistical services and trustworthy banking systems to pay back the amount in case the delivered products have some defect or are damaged.

Jason Jia and Patrick Wing—Alibaba representatives briefed the meeting on the operational procedures of the e-commerce giant and added that it would be providing a unique chance to the SMEs of Faisalabad for getting direct access to the potential buyers without making their own warehouses and including any middlemen services.

Alibaba made a recorded profit of 119.8 Yuan by the end of the financial year 31^st March 2017 in Chinese online sales, Jason informed.

He further said that the profit amount translates to a sum of approximately $17.4 billion and added that China is catching up with the e-commerce market of the United States in rule since 2015.

He further mentioned that the every day rise of internet involvement of people and the continuous increase in the spending power of the foreign clients are the major contributors to the increased fast growth in e-commerce sales.
