Allegedly leaked schematics reveal new iPad Air features

After going a whole year without an iPad hardware upgrade in 2023, there are high hopes for the impending revisions. New iPad Pro and iPad Air models are coming as early as this spring. 91mobiles has revealed supposed schematics for the upcoming iPad Air, which sports a bigger 12.9-inch display, up from the existing 10.9-inch model.

The new larger-screened iPad Air would have the same screen size as the largest iPad Pro display

Bringing the 12.9-inch screen size to the mid-range iPad line would appear replicate a product rollout approach Apple previously adopted with the iPhone, where the iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 Plus models brought the largest iPhone screen sizes at more inexpensive pricing points. Last year, the business introduced its first 15-inch MacBook Air.

The beginning price of the iPad Air is $599, while that of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro is $1099. The 12.9-inch iPad Air will probably cost a little more than $599 because Apple will probably sell the 10.9-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Air simultaneously.

The larger display on the new iPad Air is the only significant change to industrial design, as displayed in the leaked schematics. The back camera arrangement does, however, seem to have changed, since the camera and flash are now contained in an outward-projecting rectangular module.

Though the exact release date is still unknown, it appears that the new iPad Air will make its appearance in the first half of year. By June, a new array of iPad Pros with OLED screens should also be available. It is expected that before the year ends, the iPad mini and basic model iPad will receive spec-bump updates.
