AMD Gaming Cards Leaked With Prices

More nuclei, higher clock rates, huge cache: AMDs Neue Ryzen 9 9950x3d and 9900x3d set new standards with the Zen5 architecture and better 3D V-cache. The gaming CPUs are said to be released in March – at prices that lie above the predecessors.

New power packs for PC enthusiasts

With the Ryzen 9 9950x3d and the Ryzen 9 9900x3D, two powerful CPUs are in the starting blocks. Both models combine the Zen5 architecture with the proven 3D-V cache technology and thus promise particularly high gaming performance. The new processors use the second generation of 3D-V-cache technology, in which the additional cache under the nuclei is placed above as in the first generation. This design change significantly improves heat discharge and thus enables higher clock rates than with the previous models.

Technical details of the new Ryzen processors

The Ryzen 9 9950x3D is expected as a flagship model with 16 cores and a maximum boost clock of 5.7 GHz. The Zen5 architecture on which these processors are based represents a fundamental redesign of Zen4 and offers a wider front-end, higher throughput for fluid combination calculations and more precise industry prediction.

In addition, the L1 cache per core was increased from 64 kb to 80 kb. The huge cache is particularly impressive: a total of 144 MB is available to the processor. This enormous cache is composed as follows:

• 32 MB L3 cache Pro CCD (Core Complex Die)
• Additional 64 MB 3D V-cache on one of the two CCDs
• AMD uses an asymmetrical configuration in which only one of the two chip places is equipped with the 3D V-Cache

The Ryzen 9 9900x3d is said to follow 12 cores, 5.5 GHz boost and 140 MB overall cache.

Market launch and price rumors

According to the official AMD China Store, both processors are to be launched on March 12, 2025. AMD officially announced the processors on January 6, 2025 at CES 2025 and confirmed that they would be launched in the first quarter of 2025.

This is followed by the Ryzen 7 9800x3d, which was published in November 2024 and also uses the improved 3D-V cache technology. While AMD has not yet called prices, there are already initial information from various leaks from dealers:

• A user of the Chinese online retailer JD.com discovered a price of 5599 yuan (around 726 euros) for the Ryzen 9 9950x3d
• That would be a surcharge of 14 percent compared to the predecessor Ryzen 9 9950X
• For the Ryzen 9 9900x3D, a price of 4599 yuan (about 596 euros) was displayed
• The US dealer NegegG had briefly listed the processors for $699 or $599

However, these prices have not yet been confirmed. However, we have put together everything that could already be found in information. The yellow marked are the two models that, according to the rumors, should now start in the coming week.

The new Ryzen processors not only have to assert themselves against Intel’s current Alder Lake competition, but also against AMD’s own predecessor models. The Ryzen 9 7950x3D has now fallen in the price and could therefore be an interesting alternative for price -conscious buyers.

For PC enthusiasts and gamers, the new AMD processors should still be extremely tempting. The combination of a high number of core, fast clock rates and large 3D V cache promises top performance in current and upcoming game titles. The CPUs should also be able to play their strengths in demanding multimedia and productivity applications.
