AMD Invites For Ryzen And Radeon Products Event

Right at the start of the new year, AMD wants to give an outlook on how things will go with the Ryzen processors and Radeon graphics cards in 2022. The company invites you to a live stream as part of CES 2022. Zen 4 and RDNA 3 are still “on the way”, Zen 3+ is almost there.

AMD Focuses Performance for the new year

The new year of technology has been heralding in the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas for more than 5 decades. In a few weeks, CES 2022 will open its doors from January 3rd to 8th. AMD has now announced that the event will be used as a framework for the first product presentations. “President and CEO of AMD, Dr. Lisa Su, will present the 2022 product premiere on January 4, 2022,” the company said in the corresponding announcement on the short message service Twitter.

The company traditionally uses this event to provide a preview of the line-up of the latest CPUs and GPUs – and in this case, too, the program speaks of “innovations and solutions, with the upcoming AMD Ryzen processors and Radeon graphics”, which CEO Su will present on the show stage. According to statements from this year, AMD will in all likelihood present news about GPUs based on RDNA 3, but with the processors, a big appearance of Zen 4 is probably not yet entirely certain.

Zen 3D aka. plus

Because even if the AMD boss has repeatedly emphasized last year that the processor series based on the Zen 4 microarchitecture, code name Raphael, is “on track” for a release in 2022, something that has been announced at CES for months Update play the main role: the Zen 3 architecture with a new 3D V-cache structure. Dr. Lisa Su had already outlined plans for this at Computex 2021 and promised a 15 percent increase in gaming performance.

The radio silence since this announcement has caused astonishment, for which the team of tech specialists from Moore’s Law Is Dead wants to provide an explanation. According to this, “AMD Zen 3D” is currently being tested with motherboard manufacturers and is therefore intended for an early release. AMD uses “very creative” measures to prevent leaks. Our assumption about the event: More updates for Zen 4 and RDNA 3 and a release date for Zen 3+.
