AMD: Maximum gaming power from November 7th

AMD announced its own “X3D” variants of the Ryzen 9000 series shortly before the launch of Intel’s new desktop processors. The market launch will follow on November 7, 2024. They probably wanted to get ahead of Intel with the presentation. AMD

The main thing is before Intel

AMD is apparently trying to steal as much attention as possible from Intel in advance of the launch of its Core Ultra 200 chips for desktop PCs. With the presentation of the high-end models of the X3D series from the Ryzen 9000 series, they are now teasing the launch at the beginning of November. However, AMD is still providing virtually no in-depth details about the chips.

The US chip manufacturer officially announced the new processors in the Ryzen 9000 X3D series today, but they are still holding back on details. Instead, the official market launch date was mainly teased. The background is probably the launch of the Intel Core Ultra 200 series for desktop PCs, planned for October 24, 2024.

With today’s announcement it is clear that AMD is relying on the Zen5 architecture for the new chips, is based on the AM5 platform and wants to deliver DDR5 and PCIe 5.0 support, among other things. According to rumors, AMD wants to introduce, among other things, the Ryzen 9800X3D, which will be the first model to arrive on November 7th.

The chip will probably deliver a base clock of up to 4.7 gigahertz and a boost clock of up to 5.2 gigahertz. According to recently surfaced presentation materials from the Taiwanese PC manufacturer MSI, the new X3D models of the Ryzen 9000 series are likely to offer significantly more performance for productive and creative use than their predecessor models. In benchmarks, the new X3D CPUs are likely to be slightly higher than the already introduced Ryzen 9000 series.

Compared to Intel’s new desktop processors, it will probably also be able to offer demonstrably more performance, especially since Intel has already indicated that the Intel Core Ultra 200S series, which will be presented on October 24, 2024, is about five percent behind the current AMD Ryzen 7800X3D lies.
