Samsung is updating almost all of its devices with the latest Android 14/One UI 6 update. For the past week or two, owners of the Fan Edition Galaxy S21 model in India have been enjoying the One UI 6 upgrade, which is based on Android 14. Now, owners of one of the original three Galaxy S21 models can now download One UI 6.
On December 21, the One UI 6 upgrade started to roll out for the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra in India. It comes with a firmware version that ends in FWL3 and comes pre-installed with the December 2023 security patch. The December patch was published earlier this week to the S21 lineup in some regions as a separate update, but it is being received alongside Android 14 in India.
Android 14 is the third significant operating system upgrade for the original Galaxy S21 trio, with Android 15 being the last one. The S21 FE, on the other hand, will be upgraded to Android 16. When the Galaxy S24 series is released in January, all four models will receive One UI 6.1 in the coming months.
Owners of the Galaxy S21, S21+, and S21 Ultra may download Android 14/One UI 6 from the Settings > Software Update menu. The most recent firmware is also available in our firmware repository and can be installed on the phone using a Windows PC and a USB cord.
