Apple Alternative Payments In Works: Hiring Managers

The recruitment information released by Apple shows that Apple is hiring business development managers responsible for the “alternative payment” field. Apple said, “The Apple Wallet, Payments and Commerce (WPC) team is looking for an experienced business development manager (BDM) to lead the “alternative payment” cooperation project.”

Apple requires candidates to have more than 5 years of experience in alternative payment providers such as digital wallets, BNPL, Fast Payments, and cryptocurrencies or working with other payment providers.

It is understood that foreign payment brands Visa and PayPal have supported users to use cryptocurrency balance payments. PayPal has 361 million consumer digital wallet accounts worldwide. After the recruitment information of Apple came out, it was speculated that Apple might enter encrypted payment.

However, it is worth noting that, unlike Tesla, which has a high-profile investment and supports cryptocurrency, Apple’s App Store has never accepted cryptocurrency payments, and Apple executives have not yet formally expressed their views on cryptocurrencies.
