Apple Announces New iPad Air and iPad Mini with A12 Bionic Chip

Apple has officially announced its new products including the new iPad Air and iPad Mini yesterday. The 10.5-inch iPad Air and 7.9-inch iPad mini are upgraded and bring high end features and performance.

The iPad Mini and Air also offer Apple pencil support along with advanced retina display; both the devices use Apple’s A12 bionic chips under the hood.

According to Apple, the new iPad Air provides 70% improvement in overall performance and 100% improvements in graphics capabilities. Apple also claims that the new iPad mini provides the 3 times improved performance than the previous iPad mini version and 9 times faster graphics performance.

Both the devices use advanced cameras for better photos, both the front and back cameras in iPad mini and iPad Air take stunning photos and record videos @1080p HD. The advanced sensors allow enabling immersive AR experiences.

Apple has also announced an upcoming update to iWork on iOS which will be available by the next week, it integrates Apple pencil support including new animation options in Keynote allowing users to draw an animation path for any object.

Apple to launch new subscription service

Apple said both these devices stand firm between the iPad Pros and most affordable 9.7-inch iPads, these devices serve as a bridge between these two high-end and affordable products.

iPad Air and iPad Mini prices

Both the products come in 3 colors including silver, space gray and gold, also the devices are available in 256GB and 64GB of internal storage. The iPad mini starts at $399 for only the Wi-Fi model and $529 for the WiFi plus SIM model. The iPad Air 10.5-inch starts at $499 for only the WiFi model and $629 for WiFi+SIM model for the Apple store. The devices are also available from the authorized resellers.
