Apple iPhone 13 Prices Exposed Before Launch

Several months before the official presentation of the new iPhone 13 lineup, a TrendForce research report is already revealing the pricing of all models. Good surprise for Apple fans, there shouldn’t be a lot of pricing changes.

The Taiwanese research firm TrendForce released a report earlier this week in which it announced that sales of iPhone 12 mini were catastrophic, which led Apple to halt production. However, the report also unveils pricing information for the next generation that will be unveiled later this year.

TrendForce refers to the new range with the number “12S” rather than “13”, but it will probably be necessary to wait for the official presentation to know this information. The report also confirms that Apple intends to reduce the size of the notch, a first since its introduction on the iPhone X in 2017.

Prices Would Match Current Generation

According to the TrendForce report, ” Apple will continue the proactive pricing strategy it adopted in 2020 in order to maintain its market share for high-end smartphones  .” Due to the current shortage, the price of components would have exploded, but Apple would have decided to keep the same prices as for its current iPhone 12.

Therefore, at the end of the year, we should find the iPhone 13 mini for 809 euros, the iPhone 13 for 909 euros, the 13 Pro for 1,159 euros, and the 13 Pro Max from of 1,259 euros. However, we know that the Pro models can be equipped with up to 1TB of storage, which could push Apple to increase the price of the most premium version. As a reminder, the price of the iPhone 12 Pro Max with 512 GB soars to 1,609 euros in Europe.

This new generation should be more interesting than the previous one, in particular thanks to the new A15 chip engraved in 5nm or the 120Hz OLED screen on the Pro models. In addition, all iPhones will benefit this year from new photosensors. These are expected to be better stabilized and to perform better in low light.
