Apple is expected to roll out a new feature for its Apple TV 4K
After waiting for a long time, Apple is expected to roll out a new feature for its Apple TV 4K users.
Apple hasn’t sent any update for its Apple TV 4K for the last 3.5 years (or more). This is long enough for users to stop expecting anything new coming for the Apple TVs. However, the company seems to have realized its mistake and is rolling out the new tvOS 14.5 beta, which would support 120Hz refresh rates, which no Apple TV currently owns.
The company hasn’t said much about the usage of this update. But it’s expected that it would support smoother gaming, like that offered on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
Lately, Apple has been showing its interest in gaming. The company has just added some new games to its Apple Arcade gaming subscription service, letting users play games on iPhones, iPads, Macs, and Apple TVs, not to mention. The updates iOS 14.5, macOS 11.3, and tvOS 14.5 betas also include support for the PlayStation 5’s DualSense controller and the Xbox Series X controller.
A Bloomberg report noted that Apple was working on a new Apple TV with a “stronger gaming focus.” The report also added that the new set-top box would have a redesigned remote.
While even the source hinting at this update is unclear about releasing this new update, we all would have to wait a little more.
