Apple is giving up on Intel processors in its laptops and MacBook’s

A recent report from Bloomberg this week has made others to understand the Apple is planning to move away from Intel processors in its Laptops and MacBook, the move is quite obvious for Industry observers but not for all. According to the report Apple has plans to give up on Intel processors by 2020 on their computers.

The two U.S. based companies have enjoyed a long partnership between them since 2006 when Apple made a switch to Intel processors in their MacBook Pro and iMac. The recent trends are leading both companies to break up.

APPLE IS MOVING ON FROM INTEL BECAUSE INTEL IS NOT MOVING ANYWHERE.

Intel has been stagnant in innovation and technology growth for the past few years and Apple has been continuously mulling to bring in more innovation. The Apple iPhone systems-on-chip are outperforming Laptop class silicon from Intel’s Core line. Apple now seems to rely on its own chip designs that could create the performance difference.

Apple’s decision to ditch the world’s most popular CPU product line for laptop and desktop computers may seem radical, but in fact, there is a number of other factors due to which it could have seen as coming.

Intel has been quite stagnant in their performance improvement, design improvement, and technology improvement. In the number of events, Intel has been announcing and re-announcing almost the similar chips. The world especially the tech world is moving fast and Intel is not moving anywhere.

The question is why Apple is moving away from Intel while many laptop companies still use their chips in their laptops. The answer is; Apple is obsessed with delighting customers and bringing innovation for them. Staying with Intel is not the solution anymore.

But Apple is not the only company leaving Intel processors, Google has been implementing its plan to develop custom chips, the company has already started dabbling and hiring. Microsoft and Qualcomm also started pushing Windows on the ARM rather than on typical Intel-powered laptops.

Another critical factor is the whole tech world is going mobile while Intel’s desktop roots keep it holding back from being competitive in the ever-expanding market.
