Apple launching “Everyone Can Code” program in more than 20 institutions

Apple has announced its App development program in various schools and universities in Europe and Australia, Some of the participating schools include RMIT University Australia, Mercantec in Denmark, the Unitec Institute of Technology in New Zealand, Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen in Netherlands and the Plymouth University in the UK.

App development with Swift would be available by the end of this month via RMIT online as well as on-campus vocational courses.

RMIT university on top of that offers scholarships to teachers who wish to learn to code, besides a free summer school course at the City campus of the university.

Apple has already launched this course in the US with over 30 schools and community colleges offering App development with Swift, including the popular schools, Northeast Mississippi Community College, Austin Community College, and some high schools as well.

The material in the course offered was designed by Apple engineers in tandem with educators, the course is presumably is aimed at establishing Swift as a platform. However, it can also be used on Linux, but as Apple is offering this course, Swift is more Apple-Centric in nature which is meant to build apps for iOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS.
