Apple Might Increase the Screen Size for an Inexpensive iPhone Lineup

Apparently, Apple is working on a less expensive iPhone that might come in 2022. This smartphone is reportedly said to feature a 6.7-inch screen and would cost as low as $900.

If that stands correct, this iPhone could be dubbed as iPhone 14 and could bring a screen size equivalent to the iPhone 12 Pro Max, which costs more than $1,099.

According to a tipster, the new lineup would also include non-pro models with a screen size of 6.1 and 6.7 inches, i.e., equal to what we see in the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. The tipster also predicted that Apple might not bring the iPhone Mini as low sales in the next year.

Lately, Apple’s R&D team has been studying consumer behavior. The company realized that most of the users prefer smartphones with larger screens. They also learned that there’s a switching behavior among the iPhone users, who are moving away from Apple to buy a Samsung smartphone.

Keeping these in mind, the company could really be working on this inexpensive iPhone with a much larger phone screen and ditching the mini variant, at least for the next lineup.

We also learned from a source that this new iPhone (dubbed as iPhone 14) could have an under-display fingerprint sensor, and there would be a new iPhone SE with 5G support.
