Apple provides iPhone and iPad owners with a new update to iOS 15.0.2 and iPadOS 15.0.2. The update fixes various errors in the area of photos, AirTags, and backups and closes another zero-day security gap within the mobile operating systems.
The latest patch on iOS 15.0.2 and iPadOS 15.0.2 does without the integration of new features and focuses solely on fixing a handful of bugs. Among other things, it happened that photos saved from messages were deleted as soon as users remove the corresponding conversation with the chat partner from iPhones or iPads. Furthermore, Apple is lending a hand on its “Where is?” Function, in which some errors have crept in with regard to AirTags and the iPhone leather wallet.
You can find a full changelog at the bottom of this article. If the update is not downloaded and installed automatically, you can initiate the download in the Settings -> General -> Software update of your iPhone or iPad. The size of the patch is less than 600MB on an iPhone 13 Pro.
