Apple will provide retail staff with a “Secretive” Vision Pro training event

According to some recent pieces of information, the Cupertino-based tech company Apple is planning to train selected retail store staff members to use the Vision Pro headsets. Reportedly, the company will organize the training session just before the launch of the device in early 2024. This information comes from Mark Gurman.

Bloomberg’s reporter uncovered a few details about the training event in his Power On newsletter. According to him, the company has shared a memo with the retail staff members that asks them to apply for the event. The candidates will be selected based on their applications and interviews. Gurman states that the event will train the staff members, which will be helpful for them while selling the product to consumers.

The company wrote in the memo that selected candidates would get a chance to travel and participate in the event in Cupertino, California. It will be held in the early months of next year. Once trained, the staff members will train other team members. This is a group opportunity for people who are passionate about teaching people about Apple products and giving demonstrations.

The company anticipates that it can train several members from each retail store in the US. These candidates will then train other members upon returning to their workplaces about Vision Pro. It is anticipated that the Vision Pro headset deployment will be the most intricate in Apple’s history. The company intends to assemble customers’ Vision Pro headsets in-store. The product will be assembled based on the suitable light seal, headband, and elective prescription lenses.

Furthermore, the company will offer hands-on experience with the Vision Pro headset at flagship retail stores. On the other hand, normal stores will get one or two units of the product. Gurman assumes that the memo wording indicates that the Vision Pro won’t be available at the very start of the next year and the company simply shared that the Vision Pro will be launched in early 2024.
