ASUS is coming up with a new series of smartphones – the ZenFone 8 – apparently coming in three variants.
Even when the companies don’t say anything about their upcoming series, there’s always someone watching and leaking information. Likewise, ASUS ZenFone 8 was found recently on the Google ARCore listing. According to the source information, one of the three phones is having a flipping camera.
The display sizes of the three smartphones would range between 5.9″ and 6.69″. The codename for ZenFone 8 Mini is SAKE, comes with an ASUS_I006D model number. Whereas the codename for the Pro is PICASSO and has a model number ASUS_I004D.
It’s expected that the new series will come with OLED panels with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate.
One more source said the third phone has a model number ASUS_I007D and is code-named VODKA.
Moreover, the phones are expected to have a Snapdragon 888 chipset under the hood. The Mini is said to come with a 64MP Sony IMX686 primary camera. As for the Pro, it would also have the same specs with a 64MP Sony IMX686 and a 12MP Sony IMX363 snapper. The Pro will also have a 24MP OmniVision OV24B1Q sensor and an 8MP OmniVision OV08A telephoto module.
