Avis to launch keyless car system which unlocks rental cars through smartphone

Avis, a car rental company, has announced that the company has decided to come up with keyless rental cars system for its customers by partnering with Continental [Manufacturing company], media reports.

During the pilot program held in Kansas City, the company has showcased some of its equipped cars, which allows users to unlock or lock the rental cars by using an app launched by the company [Avis] on their smartphones.

A newly developed Keyless system doesn’t require any major changes in the structure of the cars.

CEO of Avis, Larry De Shon, said in a statement, “Our partnership with Continental will help us to deliver the mobility solution to the next generation.”

Avis already had launched a feature last year that let the customers choose which rental car they wanted through a mobile app launched by the company [Avis].
