Facebook launched BARS – a rival app against the Chinese owned app, TikTok.
BARS has a unique style for video sharing – it is specifically designed for creating content in a rapping style. The app also suggests rhymes using a specific dictionary.
The app also has a ‘Challenge’ mode to allow users to freestyle along with auto-suggested word cues.
Facebook said in a statement:
Audio production tools can be complicated, expensive and difficult to use. With BARS, you can select one of our professionally-created beats, write lyrics and record yourself dropping bars,
The videos can go for up to 60 seconds, could be saved on devices, and shared on other social media platforms.
The source said that the app is available for download from the App Store and initially is available for iOS users only.
