Black Mirror: Bandersnatch is being sued for $25 million

Netflix’s pick your-own-adventure style film Black Mirror: Bandersnatch is the subject of another claim, brought against the streaming giant by Chooseco LLC. The organization is known for publishing the “Choose Your Own Adventure” book series famous during the 90s, and it’s guaranteeing Netflix encroached upon its trademarks. Netflix endeavored to acquire a permit for Chooseco’s trademark before, as indicated by Chooseco, yet never achieved an arrangement with the publisher.

In its complaint, Chooseco explicitly indicates a scene in Bandersnatch where a character makes a reference to a “Choose Your Own Adventure” book – and that seems, by all accounts, to be Chooseco’s primary infringement charge against Netflix.

It also says Netflix is “causing confusion, tarnishing, denigrating and diluting the distinct quality of the ‘Choose Your Own Adventure’ trademark,” and that Bandersnatch’s “dark and violent themes” reflect poorly on its brand.

While Netflix’s Bandersnatch lets watchers pick their very own ways through its storyline, it’s positively not by any means the only case of that sort of narrating outside of Chooseco’s book arrangement. The Temple asserted it looked excessively like its Baphomet statue and said Netflix and Warner Bros. had, subsequently, abused its copyright and trademark rights.
