Black Mirror Season 7 Coming Next Month

Netflix renewed Black Mirror for a seventh season in November 2023, and now we’re finally getting a glimpse of what’s to come, thanks to the official trailer. Season 7 promises to delve into AI, explore virtual worlds, and even deliver the first-ever sequel episode in the show’s history. Here’s a rundown of everything you need to know about the upcoming season.
Black Mirror Season 7 Release Date
The new season of Black Mirror is set to drop on Netflix on Thursday, April 10, 2025. It will feature six episodes, giving fans plenty to binge on day one.
Episode Details
While Netflix hasn’t yet revealed specific titles or plot descriptions, creator Charlie Brooker teased some exciting details during Netflix’s Geeked Week 2024.
“You can expect a mix of genres and styles. We’ve got six episodes this time, and two of them are basically feature-length. Some of them are deeply unpleasant, some are quite funny, and some are emotional. It’s back to basics in many ways. They’re all sci-fi stories — there’s definitely some horrifying things that occur, but maybe not in an overt horror-movie way.”
Notably, Season 7 will include a sequel to the fan-favorite episode USS Callister from Season 4. The original episode followed Robert Daly, a co-creator of a multiplayer online game who created a simulation filled with clones of his co-workers—a project that spiraled out of control.
Netflix offered this intriguing description for the sequel:
“Robert Daly is dead, but for the crew of the USS Callister, their problems are just beginning.”
Brooker also joked about this sequel during an interview with Netflix’s Tudum:
“We’ve done a sequel for the first time in Black Mirror history. Normally, I kill off all the characters at the end of an episode, [but] I kept some of ’em alive. I’m growing as a human.”
