Blue Origin hopes to start space tourism as soon as 2019 after successful testing

Blue Origin is an aerospace company owned by famous Amazon’s founder Jeff Bezos. The company has successfully tested flight of its newly developed “Shepard Booster” a crew capsule on April 29 near Van Horn, United States.

The capsule which could take the tourists into the space in future was named after the first American in space Alan Shepard. The capsule reached an altitude of 106km and landed back in just 450 seconds.

Blue Origin is working on getting it ready for the space tourism; the company hopes to fly tourists into space by 2019.

In an earlier Jeff Bezos tweet, he said “Apogee of 351,000 feet (66 miles, 107 kilometers), and that’s the attitude we’ve been targeting for operations. One step closer”

In the near future, people would be able to travel in the space, it is a new form of tourism that is being introduced by Blue Origin.
