Bungie announces the ‘year of prophecy’
Bungie has given an outlook on the upcoming content for the online shooter Destiny 2. The so -called “year of prophecy” is said to include two large extensions, but also many updates for the base game.
‘On the edge of fate’ from July
It starts on July 15th with the next large expansion “On the edge of the fate”. On the new planet Kepler, players are confronted with secrets and a threat, which presents the keepers with huge challenges. The mysterious beings, which are also known as “the nine” nine “, will play an important role. Loki and Ikora are the focus.
A special feature: Due to Kepler’s dark matter, the heroes are able to change their shape. This allows them to hatch through narrow columns or unleash an enormous destruction. The new gameplay trailer for the expansion shows what this looks like.
Free updates
“On the edge of the fate” is a paid expansion, but the nuclear play with free updates is also considered. An improved selection screen should simplify access to individually tailored activities. This also includes the new solo surgeries that are aimed specifically at single players. There are also improvements in the armor and equipment systems.
‘Renegades’ from December
“Renegades” will start another paid expansion on December 2, 2025, which then tells a new story in the Star Wars saga style. Bungie will only share details in the coming months.
