Certification exposes the Galaxy S24+ and S24 Ultra’s battery capacity

Just last week Samsung debuted its next-gen foldable smartphones alongside the new tablet series and Galaxy Watch 6 series. Just after the Galaxy Unpacked event in Seoul, South Korea, more and more information about the upcoming Galaxy S24 has begun to pour in. Previously, it was reported that the Galaxy S24 would feature a titanium body. Moreover, some rumors claim that the smartphone will come in two different processor variants.

As of now, we have come across a certification listing that unveils the battery capacities of the high-end variants of the Galaxy S24 series. Reportedly, the Plus model of the series will accompany a large battery in contrast to its ancestor. The battery modules for the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 Ultra were listed on Dekra (certification agency). Galaxy S24+ bears the model number EB-BS926ABY whereas the Galaxy S24 Ultra carries the model number EB-BS928ABY. The two smartphones feature S926 and S928 as model-identifying symbols.

As per the recent pieces of information, the Galaxy S24+ features a rated battery capacity of 4,755mAh. On the other hand, the Galaxy S24 Ultra has a 4,855mAh rated battery capacity. Well, if we compare the recent information with the battery capacities offered on the Galaxy S23 series, we come to know that for the upcoming series, the company is adding extra power to the Plus model. The current Galaxy S23+ accompanies a 4,565mAh battery.

Well, this is something good work by Samsung. For the Galaxy S23 plus model, the company improved the battery capacity by 200mAh. In contrast to this, the Galaxy S22 features a 4,500mAh battery. On the other hand, the Ultra models have not experienced improved battery specs ever since their launch i.e., the Galaxy S20 Ultra. The Ultras models remain at a rated battery capacity of 4,855mAh and a 5,000mAh typical capacity.

However, the company introduced the base models for the years 2020 and 2021 with a 4,000mAh battery capacity. Last year, the S22 model featured even less battery capacity i.e., 3,700mAh. However, the recent Galaxy S23 base model features 3,900mAh. Whereas the rated battery capacity of the base model of Galaxy S23 is reportedly 3,785mAh. Currently, there is no information on whether the base model of the upcoming Galaxy S24 series receives a big battery or not.
