Hong Kong: Earlier today Chinese telecommunication company China Unicom has unveiled the upcoming new series of 5G smartphones. China Unicom has exposed Xiaomi 9S and Huawei Mate 30 5G as the upcoming smartphones under the carrier.
ZTE has already launched its Axon 10 Pro 5G for preorders and Huawei Mate 20X 5G is expectedly launching August 16. Huawei is also announcing the new EMUI 10 along with Huawei Mate 20X 5G.
It was reported 3 days ago that Xiaomi is going to launch its first 5G smartphone next year dubbed either Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 (5G) or Xiaomi 9 (5G), however, after the announcement by China Unicom, Xiaomi’s 5G smartphone is most probably named Xiaomi 9 or 9S.
China Unicom also revealed that all 5G smartphones including Samsung Galaxy Note 10 5G, iViOO Pro which is scheduled to launch in August, Xiaomi 9S, Huawei Mate 30 5G, Vivo X series, and Samsung A90 5G will be available on China Unicom’s online and offline channels at the time of initial sales.
Huawei also mulling to release the next 5G smartphone Huawei Mate 30 Pro 5G after the release of Mate 20X which is just around the corner. According to some leaks, Huawei might launch Mate 30 5G version by October. Apart from these developments, we are now officially entering into 5G era from 2020 onwards, 4G and 3G would be thing of past in the next few years.
