Deepika Padukone Tweets She is Safe after Fire Erupted in Her Building

In a high-rise building in Mumbai Beaumonde Towers fire broke out this afternoon. Among other residents, Deepika Padukone also resides in one of the floors of the 34-storey building. She has her apartment on one of the floors and has her office in another. She was not in the building when the fire erupted.

She tweeted, “I am safe. Thank You everyone. Let us pray for our firefighters who are at site risking their lives..”

The fire started at 2 pm on the 33rd floor of the building. Top two floors were badly affected as per the eyewitnesses.

As per the reports, no one has been injured and above 90 residents have been evacuated from the building safely.

Mumbai police staff and the fire department is right now at the spot. Police said, “They are trying to do their best to douse the fire.”
