Digital Urdu Dictionary Website Is Launching On October 15
Irfan Siddiqui an Adviser to Prime Minister of Pakistan on National History and Chairman of Quaid-i-Azam Mazar Management Board has announced that the government is launching Digital Urdu Dictionary Website on October 15th, 2017.
Technology has become a necessity of each and every individual. Countries are also making sure that they bring new, better, advanced and modern features for the people. Pakistan is playing its part in the innovative world and has now decided to launch the brand new Urdu dictionary website. The aim is to not just promote Urdu language but also use modern types of equipment and technologies to spread the mother tongue of Pakistan.

The decision to digitalize Urdu dictionary was taken a few months back and since then the government has been working on it. There will be 22,000 pages of the website and 264,000 words along with the meanings. The user would also be able to hear words as it is a sound dictionary as well. So not only will individuals learn new words, they will learn how to pronounce them as well.
The project is almost completed. Few errors are being worked upon and then the dictionary would be ready to launch on October 15.
