Discord starts integrating PlayStation Network

Discord today announced that its collaboration with PlayStation has been fruitful. The company has begun offering the possibility for users to connect accounts on Discord accounts to their PlayStation Network and PlayStation Network accounts.

The two accounts Discord and Sony both have published instructions on how to connect both accounts. On Discord, you’ll see the option in the menu User Settings/Connections. You’ll find the new PlayStation icon. By linking the two, it means that the PSN name, as well as your game’s activity, will be visible within the profile of your Discord profile.

The two companies announced their partnership in May 2021. Sony has invested an unspecified amount to Discord in order to help facilitate the partnership. The company hoped to launch the integration in the first quarter of this year.

It’s a gradual rollout, which means that it will be available to certain users earlier than other users. The rollout will begin in the U.S. to U.S. users this week and to other countries later in the week. If you don’t see the option you want now, keep an eye on it for a couple of days, then go back and check.
