Dom Hofmann is releasing a Vine successor called Byte

A year ago, Vine co-founder Dom Hofmann prodded a revival of the well-known application, tweeting a logo that essentially said “V2.” However, fervor and any expectations of an arrival were dashed in May when Dom Hofmann said the task was delayed indefinitely, referring to high expenses as an issue.

In any case, Hofmann has now uncovered that Vine’s successor will now be called Byte and it ought to dispatch at some point in spring 2019.

Back in May, Hofmann apologized for the deferral, saying he needed to ensure that Vine 2.0 was created in the correct way. I’m very, very sorry for the disappointment,” he said at the time, “If it’s any consolation, I think it would have been even more disappointing if this service had been developed and released incorrectly, which is where we were headed. I’d like for us to get it right.”

Byte currently has Twitter and Instagram accounts (both @byte_app) and also a site that displays the administration as “new looping video app by the creator of Vine.”

Hofmann also confirmed that Byte was what was previously teased as V2. He didn’t share exactly when Byte would launch, but you can sign up for updates on the website.

Many internet celebrities rose to fame with the help of vine app. The term used for them was “viners” but after the app was shut down, a lot of the people reverted to youtube as content creators. Vine provided a platform where content was generated by the community and worked as a short entertainment gig. The Vine application was shut down in 2016, after 4 years of being in the app market. It also got nominated for the teen choice award for the choice social network.
