Dr. Amir Liaquat’s Official Facebook Account Suspended Again

After being banned on TV for a month and having social media accounts suspended previously, Dr. Amir Liaquat’s facebook page that has 2.5 million followers has been suspended again.

The account suspended immediately after Dr. Amir Liaquat was banned for 30 days on making an appearance on TV.

His programs ‘Ramzan Main Bol’ and ‘Aisa Nahi Chalay Ga’ have also been suspended. They can’t be broadcasted or repeated on television.

Amir Liaquat was suspended after he received a call on his show from Gujrat, India and the caller asked him a question relating to Hazrat Ali which just enraged the anchor. He also accused Dr. Zakir Naik live on the television.

In the notification issued by PEMRA, it is clearly stated that Dr. Amir Liaquat is just looking for fake publicity. He has used unethical language in the past and created just drama to remain in the limelight.

Stating that, “Just for creating the sensation among masses and achieve maximum rating for the program (Amir Liaquat) has created an unwanted drama using the religion and hurt the sentiments of various Muslim sects and the public at large.”

This is the second time in 2018 that Amir Liaquat’s Facebook account has been suspended. In January PTA blocked all social media accounts of the controversial celebrity. The Facebook Account of Aamir Liaquat along with his website was blocked by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority. The twitter account of Aamir Liaquat remains unblocked at that time.

This time it seems that PEMRA has not just banned Amir Liaquat but also closed all his social media accounts including Twitter.
