Dubai Police Department Recruited Their First Ever Operational ROBOCOP

Dubai Police has recruited their first robotic police officer. This Robocop is there to help and guide the locals and tourists coming to the land of opportunities.

At the 4th Gulf Information Security Expo and Conference (GISEC) the Dubai police represented their first and world’s first ever operational robotic police officer on Sunday. Lieutenant General Dahi Khalfan Tamim, Head of Security for the Emirate of Dubai inaugurated the expo and was pleased to meet their new recruit.

On the occasion, Brigadier-General Khalid Nasser Al Razzouqi, Director-General of Smart Services at Dubai Police:

With an aim to assist and help people in the malls or on the streets, the Robocop is the latest smart addition to the force and has been designed to help us fight crime, keep the city safe, and improve happiness levels

The Robocop will initially start its duties from the GISEC and later will be sent out to help the citizens. This new Dubai police officer is able to find its path, communicate in 6 different languages including Arabic and English, and respond to public queries.

This is the milestone for Dubai Police Department where they have initially boarded a friendly robotic assistant helping people in general. This Robocop would help the police department itself to improve their functions and focus more towards solving issues. The department is expecting more from the AI functions.
