Due to exclusivity, POCO, iQOO, and Nothing Are Popular Brands Among Gen Z

The demographic population aged between eighteen and twenty-five years is often referred to as Gen Z. Recently, TechArc shared a report about ‘India GenZ Smartphone Brands 2023.’ According to the report, Gen Z pays more attention to the brand than the product. The report lists three top brands that are popular among youth. As per details, when purchasing a smartphone, 60% of the audience prefers the brand, whereas the remaining 40% prefer the product.

According to the report, 81% of respondents are certain about the experience because they are familiar with the brand, 73% believe that not all brands represent their personalities, and 69% believe that by choosing their preferred brand, they join an exclusive club or community. Gen Z consumers focus on specs, price, and design when purchasing a new smartphone. However, consumers focus on recall factors, visibility, servicing, and influencer reputation when it comes to brands.

According to TechArc’s report, POCO, iQOO, and Nothing are quite popular among Gen Z. This is a result of the exclusivity provided and consumers’ preference for brands that correspond with their age and the factors influencing their decision. Consumers prefer the above-mentioned companies at the brand level. However, when it comes to series, OnePlus and Realme are quite popular among the audience.

Maintaining exclusivity can be achieved by designing products with a focus on the young. The sub-brands that Vivo and Xiaomi have adopted are covertly benefiting them. First place goes to POCO, which is a well-liked brand that offers the ideal balance of goods and brand components, followed by OPPO and OnePlus. Apple and Samsung come in at number five and four, respectively.
