Due to the Boot Loop issue, Apple pulled out the iOS and iPadOS second beta updates

Yesterday, the Cupertino-based tech giant Apple rolled out the second beta of iOS 17.3 and iPadOS 17.3. However, the company was urged to remove the updates from the Developer Center soon after three hours of their release. In simple words, the updates are no longer available to download and install.

Several users reported that the new update was bricking their devices. The issue was reported by users on multiple platforms, including Mastodon, Twitter, and MacRumors forums. The users reported that their devices were stuck in a boot loop as soon as they updated the software. Apple has withdrawn the update since it appears that the only way to resolve the problem is to restore a stuck device. Apple plans to re-release the beta after fixing the flaw.

According to some reports, the Back Tap setting could be the prime reason behind the iOS 17.3 boot loop bug. Guilherme Rambo, the developer, shared a log that showcases that his device crashed due to Back Tap settings. In addition to this, there are a number of more impacted users who have some form of Back Tap activated. It’s unclear exactly how Back Tap is connected because some users who had the function activated were able to install the update, while others who didn’t activate the settings experienced the problem booting up.

We hope that the company will soon fix this issue and re-release the beta updates for iOS 17.3 and iPadOS 17.3.
