Education Testing Council: A uniform testing structure in Pakistan
A meeting of the Education Testing Council (ETC) was held at Higher Education Commission (HEC) Secretariat here on Saturday. It is the first of its kind. The meeting was led by Prof. Dr. Arshad Ali, CEO (Acting)/Executive Director HEC.
Officials from Ministry of Federal Education and Professional Training, Government of Punjab, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Government of AJ&K, Vice Chancellor, University of the Punjab, Vice Chancellor, Riphah International University, Islamabad, Vice Chancellor, University of Peshawar (Acting), candidates of Sustainable Policy Development Institute Islamabad and Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, other than other individual from the Council, went to the meeting.
Prof. Dr. Mukhtar Ahmed, Chairman HEC was particularly welcomed to exhibit the review of the Education Testing Council. He highlighted the idea and destinations of ETC came forward before by HEC in May 2016. He emphasized that the activity has been embraced on order of the Government of Pakistan for broadening a Free of Cost, uniform, institutionalized, and straightforward testing administration for understudies the whole way across Pakistan for admission to colleges and degree granting institutes.

Education Testing Council aims to bring grant rewards under one umbrella
The Council was notified that since its initiation more than 100,000 applicants have been effectively tried for honor of grants. The Council chose that at first the test would be instigated for Fall 2017 Admission Session at undergrad level.
