Election Commission of Pakistan launches a mobile phone App ‘Click ECP’

ECP the Election Commission of Pakistan has introduced a mobile phone app that will provide awareness and information to the people of Pakistan.

The app called ‘Click ECP’ was inaugurated by President Mamnoon Hussain. He launched it in a ceremony held in Islamabad on Thursday to mark the National Voters Day.

President praised the electoral system of Pakistan, he was satisfied by the way election system of the country has become better and modern.

He informed that the experiments are being made on the biometric system and electronic voting machines which will further improve the election system and ensure more transparency.

Furthermore, Mamnoon Hussain said that ECP has introduced technological advancements and improvements that are of international standards. He underlined that there is need to teach our children the utmost importance of casting a vote.

On the current issue going on in the world relating to Trump Jerusalem move, President Mamnoon condemned it. He stressed that Pakistan will take this issue to all the mediums available. He was confident that the OIC meeting that will be summoned would review this issue and take a tough stand on it.

Trump recently declared Jerusalem the capital of Israel creating a global tension. Many countries have come forward and criticized this move. In Pakistan, people are protesting today against the Trump’s announcement.
