US State Department email service was hit by a mass outage as per an official of State Department. He further said
“The State Department is experiencing a system-wide unclassified email outage.” “We are working to restore service as soon as possible. Other communication systems are available and being used.”
Now the email system was restored after almost 36 hours outage. The news is confirmed by Heather Nauert a spokesperson of US State Department.
On Friday the workers on State Department stopped getting emails on the department’s unclassified system.
Nauert said, “It has been quite a headache today, our email system has been down.” “It was brought up just a short while ago … there are some glitches that they’re still working out.”
Let this be clear as well to the readers that the email outage was not caused by any cyber-attack. It was an internal human error that became the reason for the mass outage. So there is no need to panic, expect the internal staff of US State Department needs to become more efficient as we don’t expect such errors by such big a Department.
