Samsung has taken a big blow the last year in terms of brand damage. Now we see that it is trying its best to repair and make amends with the consumers. Its new flagship phone Samsung Galaxy 8 is making an arrival in the coming days. So the company decided to take off the veil from the chipset which will in all likelihood be one of the best phone’s by the company.
The Exynos 9 series 8895 is a high-end chip which is improved in efficiency and performance. It has set new benchmarks for its rivals and predecessors. Firstly, the chipset is first of its kind from Samsung that is built on the 10 nm FinFET process. It uses up to 40 percent less power and delivers 27 percent higher performance than before. The chipset will come in an octa-core configuration with four regular, low energy Cortex-A53 cores. Alongside it will have four custom made high end Samsung cores. Exynos 9 series 8895 is paired with the Mali G71 GPU that supports 4K UHD video at 120 fps. In VR experiences the same resolution is also supported.
Visual Processing Unit (VPU) is helping the camera that can better detect moving objects and images. The camera offers support pairing of up to 28 MP resolution and supports dual image processors. Now, coming to the main gaming APIs. They are supported in it including the Vulkan 1.0, OpenGL ES 3.2 and OpenCL 2.0.
Inside is the Samsung Coherent Interconnect (SCI) technology that will aid in the development of AI applications. Alongside it has a separate processing unit for storing fingerprints and other private data. The SCI is built-in.

Exynos 9 series 8895 is the first Samsung chipset with a gigabit LTE modem, when talking about connectivity. It can support up to five carrier aggregation and downlink and uplink speeds of 1 Gbps and 150 Mbps.
It will be made to use for the infotainment system of cars, which is the key market of the Exynos 9 series 8895. Since, Qualcomm is saturating the market with its Snapdragon 835 it seems that Samsung is all set to push new boundaries in a fierce competition.
