Facebook is growing its gaming efforts and has obtained PlayGiga, a startup that ran a cloud gaming service in Europe and a few parts of the Middle East. The social media organization has affirmed the procurement after a report about the arrangement was distributed by business publication Cinco Días. While the tech giant didn’t expound on the conditions of the procurement, Cinco Días announced that the arrangement cost Facebook 70 million Euros (US$78 million).
Furthermore, PlayGiga likewise posted an announcement on its site that drops a clue about the informal community’s motivation for the acquisition. “We are continuing our work in cloud gaming, now with a new mission,” it reads. It could imply that the organization is taking a shot at a cloud gaming administration and that PlayGiga will be a piece of that try.
