Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp apologizes for the outage occurred on March 19

On March 19, Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp all faced an outage. According to a source, the issue choked after 10:00 IST. Over a million people across the globe faced the outage.

The parent company couldn’t share much about the source of the issue but said that it was due to unspecified “technical issues”.

Instagram users witnessed error messages when they signed in to their accounts.

After fixing the issue, a Facebook spokesperson said:

A technical issue caused people to have trouble accessing some Facebook services. We resolved this issue for everyone, and we apologize for any inconvenience,

A tweet came from Instagram:

Some people were having issues with their Instagram accounts earlier, but we’re back now. The issue has been fixed and we’re sorry for the trouble,

Then a tweet came from the Facebook-owned WhatsApp:

Thanks for your patience, that was a long 45 minutes but we are back!

Before the outage was fixed, a tweet came from Facebook Gaming:

In December 2020, Facebook faced an outage where Facebook Messenger and Instagram DMs stopped working. And above all, the most prominent outage Facebook has ever faced was back in 2019, where the outage lasted for almost a day.
